Tuesday we went and got sister Stoker Ammeled, which is just something you have to do when you get to a new place. We went with our district so that was fun. Then after that we went to lunch with our district and I had my first schnitzel since I have been on my mission it was ok the fries were gross!!!! I missed 5 guys! But it was really fun getting to know my district better there are elders Sheppard, Ryser, Waterböhr, Ruff , and Chicky and the Sisters ME Ü, Stoker, Imbach, and Hasara. It was really fun Ü After that we went to go to a referral and it turned out that he moved. Sister Stoker and I got into a fight and I was mad and she was mad but we still had our lesson with Nita and Sister McGill so we just sucked it up and dealt with it. Our lesson with Nita went good she said she will start coming to church in July. It was really nice to have Sister McGill. After we dropped off  Sister McGill I said sorry to sister stoker and she said sorry to me and we made up. We were both being stupid.

Wednesday we had ice cream with Li and it was really fun and I had Spaghetti ice and it was really yummy. Li is such and awesome guy and I am glad he is staying on the right path, he is a recent convert. It was also really fun to get to know him better. That day it was 102 here!!!!!! DEATH!!!!! And I didn´t think it but Germany is really humid. Then we did my first ever really tracting we walked by the river and talked to people. It was super scary but Sister Stoker was really supportive and I really appreciated it. I ended up giving a guy a Book of Mormon and we gave other people pass along cards it wasn´t as scary after the first one because I knew Sister Stoker had my back. After that we went to the Spittlers and that was really good as usual. She was really happy to see us and it was fun to see her Ü That night we had a split so we raced back to the church to change companions. Sister Hasara was coming with me and Sister Stoker went with Sister Imbach. We went to the Gublers house for dinner and they were super nice but man they made us eat sooo much and it was spaghetti again...what is up with people making us eat lots of spaghetti? But she did make this really good bread Ü

Thursday Sister Hasara and I went to see Elvis, he is this guy we met last week and invited us over for lunch with his family, cool right. He had been talking to missionaries for a long time on his way to work but no one had ever asked to meet with him...weird right? But it was really cool they made us lunch and we ate it and it was prawns which I didn´t really like but everything else was good they are from Sri Lanka . They said they would love to have us over again and they said they would read the Book of Mormon so that was awesome Ü After that I tried to get some more tracting on the river because I liked that so much but Sister Hasara wasn´t taking it which was kinda sad because I was really excited to do some more. At one point I was talking to this lady and I took a pause to think of something to say next and Sister Hasara just said Shöne Tag nach which means like well have a nice day....:( but that is ok. After that we met with Frau Seipel. I LOVE that lady she is so sweet and I really feel like I can understand almost everything of what she says which is really cool Ü. Then because the Tech elders are in a drit now they picked us up and we went to the Fernandez house for dinner. It was awesome riding up with them they are all really funny haha. The Fernandez family was so nice I really like them a lot Ü

Friday we had a mission tour where Elder Richards came and talked to us and his wife Sister Richards too and it was cool because sometimes they would come to our ward so I had already met them Ü But that mission tour really took up our whole day so that was it on Friday

Saturday the day of our ward BBQ it was really good our members brought lots of non members and Shama and Andrew came and some of the Elders investigators came too. It was funny because in the morning Sister Stoker and I were waiting for our Stassen bahn and we get a call and it is Shama and she said "hey guys do you mind if Andrew and I stop by on your BBQ" and we just said COME!! And did our own little happy dances haha it was soooo awesome to see them there the members were awesome and just encircled them! It was wonderful and we met one of the girls that a member brought and she looks promising Ü After that we went home and made cookies and a pie because presidents birthday is today but we wanted to give it to him on Sunday and also we have lots of other investigators whose birthday is today. After that we went to our lesson with David and it was amazing. It was with Bishop and his wife Paula and we all laid down the law we basically asked him  he believes in everything we believe and that our church is the one true church and he said he had a testimony of it all them Bishop challenged him to get baptized this weekend and David said as a good Christian I must pray about it.

Sunday we missed our usual bus to church so when we got to church we only had 10 mins if that before it started but a wonder happened, David came at the beginning of sacrament meeting!!!! That was the first time he ever has come to the full sacrament meeting because he takes the sacrament really seriously and feels he is not worthy to have it. So it hurts him to see it so that is why he usually doesn´t come till after the sacrament so that was awesome. After sacrament he had to leave but before he left I asked if he had gotten an answer to his prayer and he said not yet that he needs to pray more. After church we had linner (that is the meal between lunch and dinner) at the Brandes, this is the last dinner I will have there because they are done with their mission on Saturday :( They are so awesome I am really glad I got to meet them they are like parents to all of us. After that we went home and got our cookies to go give to Elvis as a thank you and we got to his house and realized we didn´t know his last name....so we called but no answer so we tried looking on every floor of the building but I couldn´t really remember which door it was. So we went back home and got the pie to give to president. We live so close to him we just walked and we rang the door bell and they invited us in and we gave him the pie and a card we made and he said he loves us and then showed us pictures of his family and some of the things that are going to be happening in the mission which not even the aps know about ..we are the only ones that know cool right...sorry I can´t tell you either :P then we gave a spiritual thought and took pictures. President said in his 2 years here no one had ever done that, dropped by and gave a spiritual thought, he said he will never forget it and said he would write about it in his diary haha he is so cute! :) Then they drove us home Ü

so now I love Sister Stoker and this week really was wonderful and I am looking forward to this next week hope you all have a wonderful week as well love you all

(I asked her why her name tag said Sister and not German sister). Ok it is Sister because we are given a special title like the elders in the US...I think it is cool Ü It sounds like you are doing tons of fun stuff! It is sooooooo hot here I can´t wait for the COLD!!!!!! I am really happy Kayla was able to come and see you with Carter it sounded like you were kept pretty intertained. I have gained weight here too and I want it gone! It is hard when you only have 30 mins :( That is cool all the missionary stuff :)

This week was full of changes, the begining didn´t start out so bad we got the car again and were able to visit this less active lady who was really nice, it is a shame she lives in Hanau! She even made us banana bread :) Then after that we went to the Brandes for dinner and root beer floats and man it was yummy! like always! I really love the Brandes and I am sad they are leaving soon :( But that was really all we did Tuesday because it took a long time to get to Hanau.

Wednesday we were helping with all the goldens coming in and it was really fun to see all the new missionaries! They all seem really cool. We also went to the Spittlers and they were really nice as usual. Then we went to Shama and Andrews and that lesson went really well. I feel like they are coming close to giving in to believing! then we had dinner with the Smiths and that was cool because they use to be the MTC presidents :)

Thursday, the big day where Sister Tuschling goes home and I get my new companion! So I met Sister Stoker and she is really nice and cute we had lunch with all the sisters that were there and we went home and talked about all, most, of the people in this area and she got over stressed because all of the people and how big the area is...Then we went to see our wonderful Frau Seipel and she was sooo cute and welcoming as normal and it is crazy how much of her German I can understand :) After that we went to the leavers testimony meeting because Shama and Andrew came so we were allowed to go which was really nice. So I got to see Sister Tuschling one more time :) I MISS HER SOOO MUCH!

Friday my first full day with Sister Stoker I realized right away that even though she is supposed to be training me...I am training her. It is crazy how much she doesn´t know about planning and using bus books and other things. It is hard because it puts all the pressure on me. It is hard taking over and area with someone who is new too. Also it was hard for me because when I came I just listened to Sister Tuschling because I trusted her...Sister Stoker seems to doubt everything I say or change things like dropping people.....once she knows the people better I think it will be ok. But on Friday we went to go see Draga and she was moved to the hospital to a care home which we are now waiting for the address and then we went and taught the Garetts who I feel like we need to drop because they only want to hear about the Bible and they don´t keep any commitments. Then we went to Shama and Andrews because they wanted to meet Sister Stoker ( Sister Stoker wanted to drop them) and they were so lovely and we watched a movie with them" Finding faith in Christ" and it went really well they stopped the movie and paused it when they had questions and we were able to answer them :) Sister Stoker doesn´t want to drop them anymore haha

Saturday we were supposed to have a meeting with Grace but she wasn´t home which was a pity so we went on for bys and then ended up meeting with a less active named Pamela lemon which was really good because I wasn´t able to ever meet with her beforehand so it was nice to meet her. But other than that we didn´t get much done.

Sunday was good we sang in the choir at ward conference and David came to church. Shama and Andrew were supposed to come but they slept through their alarm and Justine was supposed to come but she was too tired. After church we had an eating appointment with the Eberts which was nice because it was at their garden home and we had hamburgers, good ole American dish. Then we went with the Brandes to the Hu´s ( Justine and Jay) and we had a really good lesson and are planning on coming to the ward BBQ this Saturday :)

Today was busy we really didn´t do much but we still did, we went to grocery shop and we printed out pictures and then we went to the Monkey bar with Shama and then we went shopping at Primark and now emails and then we will have a lesson with David :) I LOVE SHAMA!!!! but ya it was stressful being in charge! Anyways hopefully next week everything works out love you
Sister Wrathall

The Fairy Tale book that she bought last week.

We thought she would be safe from scary bugs in Germany but it looks like something got her good.  This is after a week.

Monday, June 10, 2013

My last full week with Sister Tuschling was good. On Monday after I wrote emails I went to this place called Monkey Bar with Shama and it was really yummy. I had coconut curry and Sister Tuschling had this really good mango salad. After that we rushed off to meet with the Frankfurt German ward sisters , Sister Shipton and Sister Imbach, Then we went to Hanau because there is a fairy tale festival going on. When we first got there we stopped at this book store and I got the most awesome book in the world! It is called the big fairy tale book Ü Of course it is all in German so I figured it will help me keep up my German reading all the cool fairy tales. This is a Grimm Brüder book though so I have to keep in mind that the fairy tales will probably end sad but it will still be cool Ü Then we got to the place where the festival was at and it was closed...every monday haha. There was a really cool and pretty park/ building thing there anyways so at least we still got to see something cool Ü After that we went to the Raeolina´s for dinner again. Man they are awesome! They made us fajitas and she made homemade salsa and guacamole  Then they gave me a bigger bag of chocolate chips and they also gave me a bigger thing of vanilla haha love them! They also gave Sister Tuschling a carry on bag! haha After that we went to Hauptbahnhof to go on a split and that is where I got Sister Hull Ü and we went home  and planned for the next day

Tuesday we did the normal Morgan Sport and study time and then we did go bys in Offenbach. We didn´t really see anyone. It might be to the fact that we started by going to see Draga but she wasn´t home and her grandson who spoke English told us that she was in the hospital....she wasn´t in the hospital she was in the clinic which is a whole different place...we finally found it after about an hour and a half and we get there and to go in the room we had to put on all this stuff like gloves and a face mask and stuff and we finally got in there and she was sleeping! haha so we didn´t want to wake her up so we just left her a note. But we found out that a lady moved and we left some notes for the other people that were not home. But Sister Hull is amazing she is also exhausting she is always full of energy and talks to everyone! Even if they are across the street she would yell guten Morgan haha crazy Sister Hull. After all the go bys we switched back and went to a place called NA HI for dinner with the Swensens and the Elders ( Ryser and Sheppard) it was really yummy I had Thai peanut sauce chicken and rice. The Swensens are so awesome haha and so funny. He is the doctor for the mission and during dinner he got tons of calls about missionaries that were sick or whatever it was crazy! But ya they are awesome.

Wednesday we woke up early and played soccer with our zone.....I have no idea how to play soccer, therefore it wasn´t very fun, I would be fine never playing again haha. Sister Fuller was there though so I just talked to her and was goalie. My team was good so the ball never really came close to me so basically I just talked with Sister Fuller. I LOVE her I really hope I will get to serve with her some day! So after soccer, talking with Sister Fuller, we went home and did our study time and then we went to Shama and Andrew and I am just waiting for Sister Tuschling to leave to start with them again because right now we haven´t really been making much progress and I think it is because they are sad she is leaving but after that I will get back to work with them because I really want them to become members they would love it sooo much! They already love Mormons they just need to believe! But they were really nice and awesome as usually it just wasn´t really a lesson more of a get together. After that we had dinner with the Olsons and man this family is awesome. We got there and Sister Olson was cooking dinner still and we got to help her! Sweet! loved it we made homemade tortillas, because they are really pricey to buy here. And we had fajitas again haha but we also had mango yummy and ice cream sundaes :) But ya this family is really cool they are really young like she is probably 26 or so and they have 2 young kids and are amazing members she is really awesome at missionary work and ahhh they are just so cool.

Thursday we did the normal morning stuff and then went to see Draga and this time went to the right place right away haha and actually got to talk to her....her German is really bad and hard to understand but her grandson was there and he translated for us some. I hope he will become a member, the Elders ( Varney and Smith) are teaching him but as soon as Draga dies he will be leaving so hold on Draga! After Draga we went one floor down and saw Frau Seipel, she is in the clinic because she fell out of bed but she was totaly fine. When she saw us it was so cute when we came in she sat up and was like Sisters! SO nice to see you Ü like she owned the place haha she is cool. The Clinic smelled like PEE though! My goal is to never get sick or hurt in Germany so I don´t have to go in one of those places! After that we went to go to dinner with Elder and Sister Stay and they...forgot about us haha We clingled them and they were like hello and we said the Sisters are here and they said the Sisters! We forgot ...we have left overs though...come on up haha. It ended up being good anyways haha and Sister Stay is awesome she knows Hebrew and basically everything about the old testament haha. She told us how the story of the good Samaritan can be seen as the plan of salvation! It was really cool. After dinner we went to the Offenbach church building to meet with Samuel with the new senior couple missionaries in that area the Göckewitz...don´t ask me to say that haha. So we were waiting and waiting and waiting and he finally got there and hour late and we had a super short lesson. Then at the end he said "where I come from ( the ivory coast) we don´t say good bye to anyone with out giving them a present. So all day I have been thinking of a present I could give you, Sister Tuschling, and I finally thought of something but it was at my house and that was why I was late because I had to run home and get it." Then he pulled out a napkin that had I love you written all over it and in it was a necklace that was made from elephant tusks and he gave it to Sister Tuschling! Keep in mind that this was the second time we have met with him! Crazy Africans they are soo cool. That was my first time meeting him and man he is sooo legit but so busy but I am going to get him to become a member!

Friday was good we did the normal morning stuff and then we went to see Frau Koch. This might be the last time It see here because she is going away to Switzerland to get baptized with her family and won´t come back till August. But she is sooo sweet and kind and lovely. She made us lunch and gave us like7 bars of chocolate Ü It would be nice to be able to be here when she comes back... I can hope but who really knows. After that we went to the church building to see the Garrets. Now we have a set time that we meet with them every week but for the weeks that I have been here I have only saw them once and that was my first week so I was really doubting they would be there, but they were and we had an good lesson with them about the 10 commandments. But I don´t know if they are really every going to progress. After that we went to the Cravens for dinner and like always with the cravens it was super yummy but somehow still super healthy. Also no call all Friday so guess what that means....I am not training! Woot! Big relief!

Saturday we got up and we went to district meeting which was at the McGills. They made us breakfast and also Sister Bass was there and she brought a yummy casserole. We talked about light and knowledge and then Sister Tuschling talked about what she learned on her mission and the whole time I was barely holding back the tears, I am going to miss her sooooooo much! Then directly after that we had transfer calls...the moment of truth! I am staying in the Frankfurt international and Offenbach area and Sister Stoker is coming to join me! I don´t know much about her but I do know she has only been out one more transfer than me so it will be 2 noobs taking on the world together haha. It will be fine Ü After that we picked up Alejandra and headed to our second breakfast with the Eyres, they made an American breakfast, this was Alejandra´s first. We had hashbrowns and bacon and french toast and she was a good sport she tried all of it and even tried putting syrup on her hashbrowns like me and she liked it! She also tried peanut butter and syrup on her french toast and she like that too! After that the Eyres taught a wonderful new member lesson for Alejandra. Then we headed home because we had to do some stuff there like calls and such and then we head to a bakery to have some cake with Sandra and I had this really good ganache banana cake yummy Ü and it was really nice to see her because she has been having some medical problems lately and wasn´t able to come to church last Sunday. After that we went a got the car from the Elders, that is right we got the CAR! We need it because we were going to the Muligins for dinner and they live in Hümark which is way up in the mountains and by car it took us like 40 ish mins could you imagine by public transportation probably and hour and a half or two! It was such a lovely time they are so wonderful and she made strawberry rhubarb crumble and man was it good! If I want to experiment again I am going to make that! They are both converts and they are a great examples. They really have raised their children in the gospel and are so kind Ü!!!! I love our members!

Sunday was kinda sad at the beginning all of our investigators that said they would come didn´t but church was still good I mean how can church be bad. Right after church we went to the Chaves ( Bishops) for lunch and I really like this family. They are sooo cool Bishop just went to Canada and bought a Book of Mormon that was made in 1849 in Liverpool and it was soo cool he let us hold it and look through it and it was written just like a normal book no verses it was cool, guess how much it cost though...about 600 euro! After that we went and picked up Sister Olson because she was going on a joint teach with her to Justine and when we got there the lesson went really well! Justine said this " when I first started learning it was merely for info and now I could see myself maybe, probably, possibly, believing it and getting baptized"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SWEET! I want to see her get baptized sooo bad!

But  that was my week and man am I going to get fat if this keeps up we had a dinner appointment every day and some days more than one eating appointment. On Saturday we had 4 eating appointments haha. Another cool thing that happened this week is that I got a letter from my friend Marie that lives here in Germany and she asked if she would be able to visit so I ask President and he said " make it an unforgettable visit"! So that will be cool when she comes to visit. But other than that this week was really cool next week I get my new companion and I will tell you all about her Ü Have a good week everyone!
love,
Sister Wrathall

Man sounds like you had a fun week! You are going to be so skinny when i get home! I thought that was crazy the surprise with Kayla i bet you are super happy! That is also funny that Jordan got his call to Brazil like everyone else. Don´t worry where I am. It is safe haha. To answer your question I did the temple session in German except where I had to say stuff. It wasn´t that bad because I am familiar with the thing. German is coming I am getting better at grammar and vocabulary is coming really good and understanding too. I can tell Heavenly Father is Helping me out for sure. I always try to read signs and stuff to learn words and it is awesome most of the time I can look at the word and it feels like I know it and I ask Sister Tuschling if it is right and most of the time it is! So that is cool. Anyways onto the weekly report.

So this week we did really good we had almost every day filled with appointments at the beginning of the week. Tuesday we set off after our normal study time to this lady we found in our area book. We visited her the week before and set up an appointment.   We called her in the morning but she didn`t pick up so we just went to her house and ....she wasn`t there.. it was ok we just decided to go by on some people, none of them were there either. That was ok too we had another appointment set up where we were actually going to bring an investigator with us to see a member haha but then she also fell through. By this time we needed some pumping up so thank goodness we had an appointment to eat dinner with the Livingstones and it was just that, a pump up session, they were wonderful, good old couple missionaries...love them! So after that we had time to go by on one more person and we chose to go by on this lady named Jane ( all these people we went by on are names we found in the area book) So we got to Jane`s house and guess what.....SHE WAS THERE! She said she had stopped taking the lessons because she was too busy with work but now she has time! Also her brother just happens to be a member!!! We were so happy you couldn`t wipe the smile off of our faces! So that was Tuesday

Wednesday we had once again appointments set up. We had David, our really promising investigator that has a baptisimal date and then we also had this lady named Lyubica who is a lady we found from our area book that we visited the week before and set up this appointment. Then we had dinner with the Raeolina family. David and Lyubica both called us to tell us they were sick and couldn`t meet... well another day of go bys....once again no one was home or wanted to listen to us... :( we were so frustrated!!!! But then we had a really cool experience with the Raeolina family. So after our go bys we were far away so we were going to be like 30 mins late to the Raeolina´s and we were thinking great we found no one today and taught no one and now we are going to be late...then we got on the bus...and guess who is there! Brother Raeolina!!!! Turns out they were running late too he had just got off from work and she was getting her daughter home from swim practice. They were so worried we were going to be waiting at their house or worse leave and they didn`t have our phone number. So that was a great relief for both of us and when we got off the bus his wife and daughter are just pulling in! It worked out that we all got there at the same time! Cool huh? Then we had a really good dinner ( RIBS) and a good lesson and also guess what! Because they are a military family they have American products and they gave me chocolate chips!!!! SWEET! haha so after that we had time to do one more go by and turns out the family moved :( but we were still pumped because of the Raeolina family so it was ok.

Thursday once again 3 lessons planned one with David and the Eyres one with Frau Seiple and one with the Swensens. The day started off good we had our lesson with David and the Eyres were really good at teaching with us but we found out he is going to Italy for a little so we decided it would be best to change his baptism date to July 20th because he still needs to learn a lot. In his mind he thinks he needs to get married...he doesn´t have a girlfriend or anything....don´t worry we are working on changing his mind about that. Also during the lesson David was talking about the lesson before and when he talked about something we taught him he would say" my sisters told me" how cute he calls us his sisters :). Then our other two appointments were cancelled....sounding familiar. So then we did more go bys sooooooo many people were not home but we did end up finding two people that look promising Grace and Queensly and Grace even has a friend that might be interested too! So that day was once again hard but we found people so that was ok haha

Friday we had the Spittlers and the Garretts and Delphin and Alejandra. Spittlers were a go like always and they even got pizza for us but excpected us to eat a box each! CRAZIES! haha but we didn`t and they still loved us haha Sister spittler was doing good she actually had enough strength to get up and walk a little also Luis her other son was there and it was good to talk to him. I love getting to see them every week and now we have it that they get sacrament every week, which should have always been happening but oh well now it is! Then the Garretts called and I had the phone and they called in sick which was sad but the cool part was it was a German lady and I understood everything she said. So then once again we went by one people and once again no one was home...well this one lady was but she said in a rude way.." I am going to bed right now" haha. It was ok because then we got to met with Delpin and Alejandra and that was wonderful and after we went with Alejandra to a restaurant and got some pretty yummy things. BTW if you come to Germany don`t get the cheesecake it is not the same! So that day wasn`t too bad

Saturday we had zone meeting which was good President Schwartz taught most of it in his danglish haha cute guy gave us flowers because earlier in the week we ran to his house and gave them cookies haha. After that we went to see Frau Koch, she is so kind and loving and has known about the gospel her whole life but just now is getting baptized. She told us how her mom was killed. After the war she was taking a walk in the forest and stepped on a mine and exploded! Crazy right! Anyways, after that we went to the Chaves, the Bishop's family, and man are they awesome! We had no study time this morning so we just studied with them and planned our lesson for Justine. They were doing a joint teach with us. So after we got our lesson planned we went and the lesson was good. We talked about prayer and receiving answers and it was really good because Sister Tuschling and I barely talked. It was the members teaching which is the best. So that was Saturday

Sunday was weird because all of our investigators were out of town so they couldn`t come but church was amazing! Sister Tuschling got up and bore her testimony and so did Alejandra for her first time ever! And then Sunday school was great and then in Relief Society sister Raeolina taught and she was soooo scared but she did awesome. It was cute before the lesson she was looking and me and making faces showing how scared she was and I mouthed to her that she could do it and she did she was amazing! After church we had another person cancel on us but we just had a really amazing weekly planning session instead so there haha. After that we had a fireside at President's house and that was all in German but I understood most of it so that was good and it was fun. So that was Sunday it is probably my favorite Sunday so far.

So that was my week tons of people falling through but we ended up finding 3 potential people so that is ok, Love you all have a wonderful week
