Hehe i know i do get to know all the
best secrets haha it is fun :) I am glad over all the cruise was fun for you
guys :) I bet the best part was just being together as a family :) The things you did in LA sounded like fun especially
that you got to go to church where you were baptized that is cool! Sorry your
trip is over but at least you got to do it :) I am excited to see the pictures
next week :)! Ok on to my week...it isn´t very exciting haha
Monday we went to this place called
Neckersteinnach and it is this little town where they have 4 castles that you
can walk to and go inside all of them except one because someone still lives
there. It was SO PRETTY they views from up there are so cool! But I think my
favorite was just getting to know Jessie better she is a member in our ward
that is from Idaho and she is so AWESOME. We had a lot of fun and it was a
beautiful day :) Then Monday night we met with this less active and her 10 year
old daughter and the lesson went really well and they said they would come to
church which Sister Teeples told me they haven´t been for years!

Tuesday we had zone training and I
also got another interview with President it was funny the first thing he said
to me was Sister Wrathall you don´t have a lot of time left do you? Oh
President and then he said I was so happy when I found out you were going to Heidelberg
haha He is funny. The Zone training was really good I felt like it addressed
the needs of everyone in the room. Right after that we had an appointment with
this new member named Carmen and she was super nice and we get to meet with her
every week so I am excited to get to know her better. Then we met with the Spear
family and they are from South Africa and they are bee keepers and love talking
about it. I think I will know everything about keeping bees by the time I leave
here haha.
Wednesday we went to a Relief
Society Brunch which was sweet! I got to meet a lot more members and someone
invited their friend, she had no interest but still our ward is doing
missionary work, the member had prayed that she could have someone to invite
and that would come to the brunch so that in its self is sweet! After the
brunch we got to meet with this super cute family where the mom is a member and
the husband is Muslim and the kids are neither so hopefully we will be able to
teach them they invited us over again in 2 weeks and they were super nice.
After them we met with this less active young single adult and she is super
cute and nice I really want to have her coming back to Church. I think we meet
with her weekly as well.
Thursday was a blank day so we got
me anmelded and set transfer goals and we went by on a lot of people but had no
luck. We had something at night thank goodness for institute. The lesson was
really good it was about the sacrament prayers. He asked if we had ever put it
into the singular form and then he did it and it was really cool to see how
much more personal it made it. It was also good to meet some more of the YSA
one in particular I like a lot! Her name is Vi and she is awesome but actually
in a different ward.
Friday we did weekly planning and I
got to meet with my first real investigator in Heidelberg, Frau Schill and she
is AWESOME but has lame excuses like the church is too far away...she has a car
and it would be like 15 mins....the real problem I think is that her family
isn´t taking the lessons as well but the daughter was hanging around last time
and Sister Teeples being the awesome person she is asked if she would have
interest in learning with her mom. She had some concerns at first but we got
rid of them right away and next lesson she is going to sit in! Sweet now we are
teaching a FAMILY!!!
Saturday we had a street display where
Sister Teeples drew the Tree of Life in chalk and wrote the question. Do you
know the meaning of the tree? It is the love of God. It went just OK. We talked
with a lot of people but didn´t get anyone really solid. She said usually it
goes better but there was stuff going on for Easter so all the people were
there. After that we literally called like 50 people that at one time had
interest in the church. SO MANY CALLS. Out of it though we got a new
investigator maybe 2 so it was worth it.
Sunday!!! WOOT my first real Sunday
in Heidelberg! It was awesome first our new investigator came to church and
second Cathy and her Daughter came!!! And it was fast in testimony
meeting which is my favorite and guess what Cathy bore her testimony and in it
she said she hopes her daughter will soon be baptized!! Also Vi was there hehe
she came to our ward to see us and then after church Vi and Cathy and her
daughter and us all went to the Leonharts house ( The senior missionaries in
our ward ) and we had tacos for lunch! It was awesome. The rest of the day we
just did study.
We had a lot of empty time this week
but we tried all we could and Heavenly Father blessed us :)
LOVE YOU ALL
Sister Wrathall
