A typical missionary week of ups and downs

Well seems like a lot happened this week which I was assuming. Back to your now normal life. I think Dallin made a good choice of what he did his last day as a normal person just relax because you don´t get much time to do that out here. Oh and yes we love the clay guy you got! Good choice we use it to stay awake during study haha. Thank you for all the pictures!! Ok now onto the WEEK!!!

Monday we found out that we were taking a bus to Frankfurt the next day early in the morning from Dortmund which meant we had to stay the night at the Sisters in Dortmund. The only problem was that we had a dinner appointment with the Günthers who are super awesome! SO we ended up getting to the Dortmund sisters house late 10.40 late! We had never been there before and took the wrong bus....that was a fun night. I loved calling President and telling him I was going to be home late....:/ but it all worked out we got there safely.

So Tuesday I woke up early and got ready then we headed to Bahnhof to get the bus. The bus was actually really nice and we found out that it was a little more than 8 € for each of us which with an ICE which is what we normally take it is around 65€ so it saved a ton of money and it was quicker and quite nice. So I am a fan of the bus. Luckily after going to bed late and waking up early I was able to sleep on the bus too :) Once we got to Frankfurt we went to Offenbach. Lots of memories came back it was fun to be back in my Golden area. We got to the church building and the Golden Trainer meeting started it was a really good meeting. I learned a lot and I was thankful that we had it. The last part of the meeting was a question answer part and they divided the trainers and Goldens in different rooms and being the only SIsters we were in rooms with only Elders!! WEIRD I was glad I got to be back with Sister Zenger after that haha. Sister Zenger also played her violin at the meeting and it was beautiful. After the meeting we hopped back on the bus and Sister Zenger got home just after 9:30. It was a long day!

Wednesday we had both of our appointments fall out which was pretty sad. So we did some street contacting with no luck haha. That was fun. After that we decided to make cinnamon rolls to give to people. So we went home and did that until it was time for ward night. Thank goodness for ward night! There was 3 investigators at ward night it was awesome! Kristin, Sister Roch and Georg (one of the Elder’s investigators). It was an awesome night too we watched this really good church video! SO that basically saved the day.

Thursday we had our German help with Bonnie and it was really good. She is very helpful and it is a good balance because we first give her a spiritual thought and then she helps us with our German. This time we picked out some music because Sister Zenger wants to do a musical number with her in sacrament meeting. So that was good. After bonnie we had 2 more appointments fall out! WOot....people! SO we called the Elders and saw if they wanted to hand out cinnamon rolls with us they said sure. So we went to a couple of people that weren´t home but then we went to Elizabeth and she was home and invited us to stay for dinner. We were able to meet her son and talk with her some. It was really good. After that we went to meet with brüder Rösler, this man is awesome. I just wish I could help him more.

Friday we did weekly planning and we met with Sister Hombürg. I love this lady. She is the really old lady I have a picture with she tells the coolest stories. She always has something we can do to help her. This time we wound up ribbon for her and threaded needles haha. Super simple things but things she really want and needed help with so that was cool. Then we met with the Glowiszyn family and wow they are awesome. I wish we could go there every week. They make you feel right at home and SIster Zenger and I taught our best lesson yet there. I think it was a wonderful night.

Saturday we met with Xicwjun at Angelika´s house and we taught about Christ on the Earth and the Priesthood. The lesson went really well. We asked Angelika to explain how she felt after her baptism and she talked about how she felt like all her past sins were gone and that she could start a new life. Xicwjun then asked how she could feel that way! So we told her get baptized but she said she doesn´t know how. We told her that we would help her so that was exciting. After that we met with Bart and Mado where Bart made us a polish meal so that was fun. They are wonderful people and I love them! After that we were supposed to meet with Kristin but she had the wrong time so it didn´t work out.

Some kind of Polish? Cactus drink

Sunday we got a text from Xicwjun saying she doesn´t like the Book of Mormon and she can´t meet with us anymore....so that was a huge downer! It is crazy how someone can change overnight... But the day got better we met with Sister Roch and she is doing wonderful and then after that we meet with Sister Neu and that was awesome as normal so it ended on a good note :)

The Castle by Sister Neu's house.

So that was my week. I hope everyone is doing great. I love you all!
